Our Mission Statement
Welcome to our book club! We are thrilled to have you join us in exploring the lit in literature. Our book club is a community of passionate readers who come together to share their insights and perspectives on various books.
Our book club meets once a month towards the end of the month, and we choose a book to read and discuss during each meeting. We select books from different genres, including fiction, non-fiction, memoirs, and even poetry. Our goal is to broaden our reading horizons and expose ourselves to different writing styles, and perspectives.
During our chats, we discuss the themes, characters, and writing style of the book. We share our favorite quotes, ask questions, and debate different interpretations of the story. Our discussions are lively, engaging, and thought-provoking.
Although the day-to-day book club duties will be on instagram chats, our home base will be this website. On this website, I will post series of posts, videos, and articles based on the current book club’s pick.
How To Join
Our discussions will be held in our instagram group chat. To join you must be following our instagram account @readinglitty, and then you can send us a submission with your instagram that you’d like to join our book club chat. You can send us a submission by emailing me at daniel@readinglitty.com, commenting on this post, or commenting on our month’s book pick instagram post.
🚨 Please note that each month, a new group chat will be created, and you will have to request to join on every book you’d like to join us for.

Here are some tips for successful reading:
- Find a comfortable and quiet place to read. This can be anywhere from your favorite armchair to a local library or park.
- Set a reading goal for each sitting. This will help you stay focused and motivated. You might aim to read a certain number of pages or chapters, or to finish a particular section.
- Take breaks when needed to avoid eye strain or fatigue. It’s important to give your eyes and brain a rest, especially if you’re reading for an extended period of time. You might take a short walk, do some stretches, or simply close your eyes and listen to music for a few minutes.
- Engage with the text by underlining, highlighting, or taking notes. This can help you remember key points, clarify confusing passages, and make connections between different parts of the book. You might use different colors for different themes, or write down questions or observations in the margins.
- Reflect on what you’ve read by summarizing or journaling. This will help you process the information and make it your own. You might write a brief summary after each chapter or section, or keep a reading journal where you record your thoughts and reactions.
- Discuss the book with others to gain a new perspective. This can be a great way to deepen your understanding of the text and discover new insights. You might join a book club, start a reading group with friends or colleagues, or simply chat about the book with a fellow reader.
Remember, reading is not just about absorbing information but also about enjoying the journey. Take your time, savor the words, and let yourself be transported to new worlds and ideas.
